Memorial Services
We understand how deeply meaningful it is to celebrate the life of a loved one. Our memorial services are thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, reflection, and a sense of togetherness during times of loss.
We offer a peaceful space and personalized support to help families, friends, and communities come together, share memories, and honor lives in ways that feel authentic and healing. Whether you prefer a quiet gathering or a more formal service, we are here to guide you with sensitivity and respect.
Memorial services are available for eligible individuals in the Cannon Memorial Chapel with no space rental fee, and are planned by the Office of Events, Conferences & Support Services and the Office of the Chaplaincy.
You are welcome to use a minister you know for the service. University of Richmond staff can provide guidance to your family's minister, if needed.
Services can include an inurnment or scattering in the Columbarium & Memorial Garden.
