Technical Services
Multi-Media
The University of Richmond's Telecommunications and Multi-Media Support Services department aggressively upgrades and manages the technical components of our classrooms and many meeting venues. Fees for equipment to be quoted based on need.
Equipment
The University shall use reasonable efforts to accommodate requests by the conference director for multi-media equipment to be used during a conference. The conference director shall furnish the University with a written request specifying the desired multi-media equipment at least fourteen (14) days before the start of the conference. The cost of such equipment shall be specified in the contract discussions.
Technical Support
The University shall use reasonable efforts to accommodate requests by the conference director for multi-media technician support during the conference. The conference director shall furnish the University with a written request for such support at least fourteen (14) days before the start of the conference. There is a four-hour minimum charge for such support. The cost shall be specified in the contract discussions.
Guest Network Accounts
Our campus is entirely wireless. Guest network accounts can be set up by conference services by submitting names no less than ten (10) days from the start of the conference. Usernames and passwords will be given to the conference director. It is the director's responsibility to issue this information. Should you lose the information, we will have to create new accounts, which could potentially delay conference programming.
Network Printing
Guest network accounts can be created for attendees at no charge. Printing cost is currently $2 for 25 copies.
Computer Lab
Conference attendees who require the use of computer facilities may request guest computing accounts from Information Services. These accounts may be used to access public workstations in the library and in the public computer labs across campus.
Printing Services
On-campus Printing Services will gladly quote volume printing, such as programs.
Radio Communication
Radios and chargers may be rented for approximately $25 per unit, per day.
